This is a continuation of Advanced Paranoia, random thoughts from reading and email exchanges. Those are irregular, and quickly added to the top, this is the first cut-off tail.
I had thought that Taleb was the wisest philosopher writing in America. This argument is correct in individual elements, but then he generalizes the wrong thing. Yes, we should be intolerant of not the intolerance, but of any action that violates the civil rights of another. No one is protected by anything if abusing another’s civil rights.Forget intolerance, that is inside people’s heads, nothing we can do, certainly being intolerant of intolerance won’t help. Modern religions are not very tolerant of each other, really. I mean, they are, but only because they don’t get many points of choice, it takes a group to make a shunning or dissing work, and not enough people get excited about religion any more so that could happen. Political parties, likewise. But behavior, we can expect respectful behavior from all sides. In reality, PC advocates to the contrary, using rational words and a calm demeanor and expression of thoughts, continued as long as it takes to avoid the need for less rational approaches is as much respect as anyone can expect for merely being human, of course, and they won’t get that long if they don’t extend the same respect. All sides blame the others, of course, but do note that MSM is the source of the great majority of everyone’s views of everthing. It is disrespectful to curse at people, even officials in your government or policemen. But, ultimately, Taleb is right, we get what the most intolerant of us will put up with. We are having values of the PC crowd imposed u have gone really wrong in fundamental values. There are times when extreme disrespect is warranted, the last steps before violence. It certainly should not be misused before that time.As for intolerance in religions, seems to me the Jewish religion is doing pretty well compared to Christians and especially Catholics, but that is perhaps Jews identify as such even if they have never been into a synagogue, they consider Jewishness as ethnic/blood line as much as religion. The Jewish religion, tho not the Jewish social identity and group identity, has much faded in modern times in its importance in the average Jew’s life. The Moslem religion will similarly fade in 2 generations after any Moslem country attains a modern government with a modern economy. . That could easily be within the next 40 years for every Moslem country, but :===========================Hard to know whether our government or the media are most to blame in this propaganda.
Our government has some evil bastards in it. Citizens are powerless to prevent this kind of shit being done in our name. I have no doubt this is mostly true, because I had seen reporting from inside syria that showed a completely different picture than MSM presents even still. At this point, we have this kind of story on a lot of events of evil nature around the world, including 9/11 here at home, a false flag attack performed by the CIA and Israel’s Mossad against the US of A. Acting against the interests of their own country in collusion with a foreign power. The very definition of Treason, written into our Constitution. Hoaxes and false flags are a regular thing around the world in the last couple of years, you may have noticed.
Those require news media, of which all have apparently been fully compliant. From that article, I was never suspicious enough of Al Jazeera, tho I had stopped visting their web page.
The inevitability of the kind of dirt about the Clintons that is now coming out surely has been obvious for some long time? And surely the people who planned 9/11 False Flag operation understood that could not be hidden, would get out, and sooner than anticipated? Tremendous job covering it up so far, but you should be very sad about how much credibility it has cost for every part of our Status Quo. The political class’s reputation is in shreds, not the least the Libertarian Party, still in its mild Republican dress, not any inflammatory word having been spoken in this campaign. Cut taxes, scale back the wars, scale back the government, everything will be fine. Quietly hoping hatred for major party candidates will elect them, meanwhile, don’t make enemies, we want the political class to accept us. Wrong year for that.
Jill Stein has come closest to stating raw truths about our Deep State and the 9/11 FF and Sandy Hoaxen evidence. Not very close, but closest. And hits the mark with some of her statements about US support for terrorism and trends in civil liberties. Wrong on everything else, in the standard left-progressive tradition.
The various Progressives in our Status Quo, both Progressives of the Right, the Israeli-Neocons intent on using the power of government military might to enforce their desired future upon the world or the Progressives of the Left, the various waves of what now culminate in the many claims to some Social Justice. Both sides are so willing to use violence, and the terrorism of random military violence, against civilian populations, and so unwilling to deal with the usually-straightforward problems of economy and justice. All they take is some honesty and dealing with local issues in local terms. In most of those, the problems would be well on their way to being solved if the Americans stopped funding one or both sides. Give international mediation, honest exchanges of views, and no more outside funding, I bet most of the world’s insurgencies could be solved. Spending a small portion of the arms budget to assist is so tempting, and such a dumb idea. Obviously, that is how we got here.
I have no clue about how to evaluate the ‘FBIguy’ on 4chan. At least maybe, that is what 4chan is for, more traffic there, so maybe less chance of your tor traffic being seen. The Still guy is the kind of reporter and reporting who find this kind of thing, bleeding edge. If someone links several different sets of posts to this same individual, and gives him a track record to compare with, it would move to the next level of news-gatherer and blogger, eventually reaching newspapers and MSM, probably through their bloggers first.
One of the early ways you will know it is true is to see the source criticised, rather than the content or social/professional/… reasons no FBI agent would do such a thing.
This has been out there for at least 2 weeks, now has some backing from actual events.
This on the Clinton Cash is fairly amazing. Every time I think I might be cynical enough. Not even close. No matter how hard I try, I never even come close to this class of crook. That woman is running for President of the United States. It is Hutzpah of the same order as 9/11 False Flag, an amorphos blob of interests that protect Hillary’s interests as their own. It is not the ordinary people’s interests being protect in suppressing evidence like those, it is the oligarch’s interests. If people stopped contributing to Hillary, they wouldn’t have the advertising revenue. What an appalling idea! Publicize a candidates fatal flaws! Are you mad? We would not only not get our bonuses, we would be in the unemployment line! Trust me, editors are paid to interpret their publisher’s master’s voices. Cautiously, very cautiously, they interpret them. No use getting into the middle of any controversary about our coverage costing the corporation advertising revenue. No upside at all.
And thus are the affairs of nations directed. Common people get screwed by folks like the Clintons. In Arkansas, they were in position to help the CIA, maybe the CIA put them there to become Governor. Anyway, that was the first CIA drug smuggling operation I heard of after the war, and the private eye who dealt with Vince Hubbel, I believe, handling the cash that resulted is one of the many who ended up dead.
1.8M people when I saw it. I will make sure a few people watch it. It is just like any of the Architects and Engineer’s for 9/11 Truth videos. You can’t watch that and afterwards see the world in the same way without having been inside government, or one of the organizations working up against the interface with the black power guys. Ordinary experience can’t possibly train you in the level of dishonesty that would lead you to be so distrustful and of easy loyalties. The Clintons are evil people. John Perkins “Confessions of an Economic Hitman” paints a picture that would highlight the Clintons as one of the power brokers, just the leading powers taking the biggest bribes. It is the standard retirement benefit for all of our government and military top eschelons, you go into a lobbying firm, and the biggest rain makers, the people with the most credible stories of government access, are the ones that get the biggest problems and the biggest bribes. The Clintons can fix pipelines for tar sands oil in opposition to the united Greens and all environmentalists and everyone behind President Obama’s climate policies, now that is power.
I did not know Dinesh D’Souza. Factual history, no doubt seriously selected, but true. He decided as I have, the best pov to put her in perspective is a mafia. Molyneaux was as solid as you could expect a philosopher to be up until he went nutso on the Muslim question.
Dinesh D’Souza describing his movie and how Clinton is running a mafia :
Clinton Foundation is massive fraud, of course, CF is the smallest part of the fraud, he says $100B total, world-wide, retirement for the world’s leaders, coordinated by the Clintons. A global version of Tammany Hall. Massive corruption, Clinton’s Global Charity Fraud, $Bs. Wow! Her running for President is being paid for by foreign governments. Massive, epic-level corruption, transferring an entire country’s pension fund into the pockets of people who bought the Clintons.
Listen to the Charles Ortel interview. My God, this is indeed the information that will end the Clintons, it is just a matter of time. Some attention from MSM would help, wonder how long they can resist.
Clinton as the candidate means President Trump, I still read this situation as the majority of voters deciding Trump is the least danger. That is NOT an unreasonable conclusion from the evidence in as wide a context as you care to apply. It only can be at all be interpreted as sort-of-not-terrible for Clinton to have done those things by viewing through a very tiny pinhole. The Clintons are evil. It is perhaps possible to argue about how evil, how deeply black. Very, very, imho, but I could go with much, much worse. Terrible human beings, the very worst of Commissars.
This is serious treason, in very strict definition of colluding with foreign interests against the government of the US. By the evidence, dammit!
It is a precisely correct statement “Hillary Clinton is the representative of the Deep State. She and that Deep State are the much larger risk to world peace relative to Donald Trump, no matter how ignorant the man is. Ignorance can be corrected, our nation can withstand a great deal of ignorance compared to even tiny amounts of the evil that Clintons are.”
Very bad people, exactly what we have been warning everyone about for so many years! It was never the particular ideology. It was the fact that everything was cast in terms of ideologies, that was an acceptable style of argument, using ideas as a filter of what components of reality you will allow into your list of povs, each a lens-filter for understanding the situation from another point of view. Can’t have too many of those, ideologies impoverished us all for so long. All of the great unreasons of history, the ones that ended their civilizations, have had a tip-top of society over-estimating their power relative to common humanity, including the power of the social and economic chains woven around the lower classes.
You can see this one shaping up in exactly that direction, and the poorest of all populations suffer first and most. When they initiate social disorder, nobody controls the situation. Who benefits from this? These people, of course. Events only need to push an actual prosecution into the background for a few news cycles, and our Status Quo would make the issue go away in public consciousness.
Can’t do it, you say? The press doesn’t have that power, you claim? She got this far, what do you think that means, exactly? Is there any point of view you can apply to the situation and claim Hillary Clinton having committed such large and obvious crimes over so many years and so much larger crimes in selling the services of her position as Secretary of State and Bill’s Services as whatever role is needed for the next large-scale scam, that makes it out to be less-than-criminal, you need to write for Hollywood, I believe none of their current writers could make up a script so bold. Clintons and advisors do not think small.
Our Deep State is very strong, these people are their political class representatives. I wish I thought that was less factually-accurate than I believe it to be. No kidding, they are just one head of a mafia with many components, partially competing and partially cooperating, but increasingly dominated by the CIA and allied special forces and intelligence agencies, not all of whose ruling parties have a clue of their country’s secret agencies. Once any country has any black budget, the political class has an ultimate prize, because that kind of power can be leveraged. And so they do, and soon the society is not doing as well as it used to, very much of the nation’s wealth is drained away in scams of one kind or another. This empire is about exsanguinated, end-game free-for-all like the USSR went through as it dissolved. Suddenly many high-up individuals in bureaucracies owned a lot of real-estate, no accounting was done as their organizations dissolved and all records dissappeared.
I believe the story that Washington’s Blog pushed for so long, of deeply secret accounts on the books of state and local governments that have many $Billions in budget balances that were kept back, converted from one thing and another, investments that prospered. Things happen on books nobody looks at, accounts there is no way to value, some nominal values assigned when the original asset was acquired. His stories have received a good bit of support over the subsequent years, but they never get off the ground, ??no idea?? Those accounts are up for grabs. I have no good evaluation of the existence of those accounts, only can state that WB’s reporting had factual substance that I accepted at the time, I have seen other authors with evidence I interpreted as support, and I haven’t seen refutations that I remember.
Political power in the end-game always culminates in someone winning, which produces the reset. Go through the evidence. These people should end their lives in jail. Trump will need show trials. Neocons are already buying tickets to Israel. If Trump learned anything from Ergodan, it should have been “Have the lists ready”, e.g. the list of passports that should be canceled the minute their acting executive reachings any signing position and power. A list of grand jury indictments to be started immediately. If Trump is honest in his regard for those political forces, there is no lack of evidence who is who:
Another thing to reinforce my new motto : You can’t be too cynical, but you damn well should try hard”.
Another one of Hillary’s downsides is her health. The story that is developing, far outside of the mainstream, of course, is neurological issues and increasingly fragile health. Seems convincing, but so far from the reason to vote against her as to be irrelevant, so I am not looking further. But that ‘seems convincing’ will produce more and more scrutiny from all sides, and eventually they will have to have a story.
*Note later : There is later evidence against epilepsy, and the best I saw said “Parkinson’s Disease”. That didn’t explain the minder, however, although it said the ‘epipen’ or whatever was a flashlight.
The medical issues will be the last straw for enough voters, epilepsy cannot be spun, there is no poster child nor even group of sufferers who think they should be given jobs where they need to be competent at all times. This issue is important enough MSM isn’t going to be able to ignore it or paper it over.
Clinton can’t go into a debate with Trump, he will start reciting chapter and verse from one of the half dozen books recounting her criminal career. If she couldn’t get through the debates with genteel Sanders without a long bathroom break, she won’t last a round with Trump. Such events will get more difficult to spin and ignore as the campaign continues.
Her campaign will not survive this, and especially with more email yet to surface, and very big scandals in the Clinton Foundations’s role in handling bribes, now exposed, but lurking, another of the many things Trump will use to hammer her in a debate. So, she is going to have to turn down debates with Trump, but that won’t stop his attacks nor their toll on her. And when he begins on the medical issue, having illuminated various of her other problems, they can’t make a story to handle all the strange facial expressions that will now surface, many very likely completely OK, but strange angle, or something. It won’t matter, it isn’t the kind of thing that can be decisively refuted, given the evidence currently available. Again, I haven’t studied any of that issue, but the story is more than plausible from my current knowledge.
Trump is not going to lose narrowly enough they can steal the election, already they need to ‘adjust the polling’ at Reuters. Exit polls will be too telling. Those results were too suspicious in many of the races with good exit polls last election, of which thee were not so many, so a properly suspicious mind would suspect under-sampling leading to too-low estimates of the dishonesty in our election counts. We need many more exit polls this election, over enough different locations so as to have a good sampling of how much who is jiggering the results.
Given NSA’s ability to penetrate literally any Windows system attached to the internet, we must suspect every electronic voting machine, as those get their software updates off of someone’s system that was connected to the internet, and electronic voting machines are software. Software’s chief attribute is how easily it can be modified to do anything the original program could do, but different. Different can be anything that people can think of to change the results in a direction they favor. Those can be quite subtle, difficult to identify, as we learned from the VW smog check case. There is no reason, as a first-level, very obvious ploy, that the choice displayed on the screen has anything to do with the address tallied, whose content is that candidate’s count. Trivial to add a function that adjusts D’s up 5 percent and R’s down, keeping the rounding in both directions, and only applying it when >1 AND it can detect there is no one monitoring both screen and internal counter, meaning it is offline and doesn’t detect the standard debugging connection plugged in. Those would avoid anyone seeing the bug happen unless they single-stepped enough code. It would not stop testers from knowing the code existed, unless they did all their testing with a debugger installed. And, of course, the code delivered may not be the code installed. NSA may have made its modifications. Etc. Exit polls are very necessary.
The only way the establishment has of beating Trump is for Hillary to decide she is not well enough to run, and to pass the baton to some else. The ‘someone else’ is no problem, there are plenty of contenders, but none are acceptable to enough people to unite the party, I think. It will take some genius PR to overcome party divisions, their expressed fear of Trump can’t be of the magnitude they tell us. Time is getting short if they want to recover a campaign and go on to win.
My reading of this situation is that MSM does not control this election to any extent, try as they might. The PTB are clearly against Trump, Hillary is the Deep State representative.
Thus, the PTB have to get Hillary out of the race or kill Trump. They could do both, I suppose.
I am probably not nearly cynical enough yet, but trying to do better.
I think that our man Trump has done what Jesse Ventura had done at one state’s level before him. He is making a profit in running for President, and has a damn good chance of winning, contrary to everyone’s low opinion. Did you ever think that both of those men were in the reality entertainment game? Both were more solidly real to people in that universe than any politician can be in real life. I think Ventura was and is the real deal, you only have to hear the man talk, but he had great presentation of that real deal, the kind you learn entertaining in front of a live crowd.
As I argue today, there is no choice, Hillary is the Deep State candidate, and continuing to tolerate any Deep State in our midst is the death of the world.
Trump at least allows the political forces against all of that deep black shit to rally a bit, the internet is wearing at their support, it can’t be better than the political establishment’s, which is trending steeply south.
9/11 False Flag. Sandy Hook, where nobody died. Hillary will extend the scope of the forces doing that here in the US, extending the center’s control of political opinion. Those are the only risk, there is no other risk to an America of whatever version you want, up until 40 years ago at least, except for our very own Deep State. We have no significant foreign enemies, with the possible exception of Israel, many of whose citizens have prominent positions in or as advisers to people in our government, contrary to the Neocons and Israeli propaganda. We do have a deep state trying to make enemies, and supporting terrorists to pretend to be.
9/11 means those people cannot surrender without amnesty. It means peace cannot be allowed, so many of them will hang for that crime. Please look at the evidence for 9/11 False Flag. Your grasp of that evidence is very important at this point in our nation’s history, it absolutely should condition your every thought about our rulers. Nobody looks at the scientific-quality evidence produced by the 9/11 Truth researchers and thinks there are ANY foundations to the government’s story.
They are treason from within, have probably already chewed the vitals out of our nation, but I think the issue must be in some doubt, as the entire Status Quo is raining fire upon Trump’s head. The enemy of mine enemy, etc. The only hope I see to do anything short of civil war is Donald Trump. He is a tool, what-ever the response of our Deep State, we learn a lot more than if we elect Clinton, deep state representative of long standing and loyalty. Steal the election, kill him or manage him or have to endure him, we will learn a lot.
The growth of the power of our Deep State around the world is clear history. Any contrary story is fantasy.
Yes, I know, Ventura didn’t make a profit on the campaign per se, but being Minnesota gov helped book sales AND speaking fees and probably many other bennies as well. He deserves his win and I have no reason to doubt his judgment on many issues. It fits with mine, mostly.
Everyone complaining about Russia intervening in US politics, based on zero evidence, and nothing about Israel having done so for the last 40 years, to the point that dual citizens occupy high government offices and advise the most important officials in the layd. If any other country had such disproportionate influence at the highest levels of US government as well as so many other governments around the world, we would be outraged. Israel’s fifth column is not noticed.
I am absolutely NOT biased against Jews. I have worked closely with too many of them to think of them as anything else than human. Which encompasses a lot of sin, and no peoples are immune to any of it, as the Israelis are now teaching the world in their treatment of Palestinians. I actually grew up holding Jews in high regard, and have had no reason to change my opinion, as a group, ethnic, racial and religion, Jews have contributed a great deal to civilization, and have done so over long periods of time. And also have done bad things to civilization, that tendency is on the upswing around the world, seems to me. The root cause of very many very negative trends in our world lie in the Likhud Party in Tel Aviv, Israel. And of very many more in CIA headquarters, Langley, Virgina, USA. Our secret-producing agencies are the major danger to our futures. They have already destroyed our form of government. Call it what you will, but Freedom is being rolled back at a rapid rate because those forms of government dominate power
I have long thought that our MSM is a COINTEL-PRO in American society,
it exists to amplify every minor problem, to destroy any feeling of ‘we are all citizens in this together’. And that our PC Leftists in protected positions were not in any Democratic ‘people are sovereign’ tradition, and it was going to cause a problem.
Problem is here. All the shit our progressive gov has created must be rolled back, or we have killings for political control. Deep State has already been doing those, if you haven’t noticed. Citizens are gearing up to respond, if someone does not start moving this country back to its fundamental values, make it good for the average Joe again.
I have extreme opinions by current standards, but not because they are violent or hatred extreme, because the world moved far in an extreme direction and considers their current opinions normal.
Personal integrity, peace, justice, citizen control, community, self-reliance, a reverence for facts and their implication. Those used to be America’s defining virtues, and we had a great nation for the average citizen when those were our values.
Clinton is everything I hate about modern politics : she is a criminal war-criminal war-monger and supporter of the Deep State. I don’t care about anything else, not her sex or sexual habits or husband or …, she is those things in verified objective fact over a long period of time, and nothing can excuse them.
God only knows what Trump is, he is a master of PR and MSM is useless. Nobody can have a clue what a Trump Presidency will bring. But we know with Clinton, she has a record. The wars will continue, as they are necessary to prevent any investigation of 9/11 False Flag or Sandy Hoaxen. The various elements of the Deep State are very vulnerable in those, so obvious.
We also now know there is 1 party and that Trump is genuinely independent, as otherwise the paymasters would not have needed to convince or otherwise incentivize so many people to have abandoned their positions in the various hierarchies and gravy trains.
The American people are very against the trends our society and government represent, against the continuous wars and our killing of innocents. Trump is destroying Clinton, speech by speech, tweet by tweet, she cannot respond to the statements of criminal conduct, and the stock market will not make it to the election, always a bad sign for incumbents.
Consequently, Clinton will have to steal the election. All of the Republicans moving to support Clinton says they will organize to do that.
General Allen, removed from his position for ‘flirtations behavior’ in the same investigation as Patraeus, warns of a breakdown between Oval Office and Pentagon. Wow. Couldn’t be better for our Constitutional government side, opposing a military and political establishment that has removed an elected President is about the best case insurgents get.
Read some of the comments, this man didn’t recruit anyone to their cause, and exposed another weakness, against which everyone in blogdom will run factual counters. The General has too much dirt in his history to be slinging mud.
Interesting : the more stuff the Establishment dumps on Trump, the more people ignore it. Not right in either direction, but predictable. I find it so hard to think our propagandist specialists don’t know what they are doing. Did Trump really get inside their defenses?
But, Trump doesn’t have a lot of high-class talent flocking to him, either, and for the same reason. There is a rape case of a 13-year old girl against Trump and Epstein that keeps trying to get into the news. I have seen them trying to bury that connection all year. Very believable when Epstein is involved, but maybe I under-estimate Trump’s good sense in resisting blackmail scenarios : surely he has security to warn him about that kind of thing. The thing I most hate is the Epstein connection. He certainly is an Israeli recruiter of spies, using blackmail. That is what has made me doubt Trump’s sincerity wrt the wars and Russia. His personality, give him some new outrage and he could turn 180 degrees in a heartbeat and take the country with him, 8 more years of war. Might not even take blackmail to achieve that. He can’t depend on the CIA or Defense to give him clean info and good advice.
Everything is hidden. Nobody can make good decisions when they can’t see more than a couple of cards, and those only the one your opponent wants you to see. Very asymmetric information between the players, we can’t win.
It is wishful, hopeful thinking to think our problem is going to be handled with votes. We all do anyway. Civil wars are such a bad idea.
This is very important, and not just because it is putting a hole in Clinton’s boat.
Unless it was done by a known outside group (and Binney says they would know that) or ‘officially’, approved by someone high up in the agency or Justice Department, this increases the paranoia level of all of the agencies with secrets to new levels. I have read they are now extra-ordinarily careful about handling secrets and access to servers, have 2 people doing every job, watching each other. If someone got pst that, they have bigger problems than ever. They have to be ultra-paranoid about new 9/11 FF info getting out, likely the guy who was said to be close to info out of the AF’s boneyard wrt the planes that actually flew into things and was killed was one. Bet there are others.
This is not an age when you can reliably keep secrets. Anyone having them cannot be sleeping well. Another advantage to open and honest.
I have invented a new argument, more probably remembered one from someone else, to save much annoyance for all on topics such as 9/11 False Flag or Sandy Hoaxen :
You, my disputant, are at least as intelligent as I am and reason just as well.
We disagree on a fact about the external world.
My conclusion rests on factual evidence I have evaluated for reality.
Therefore, you have not looked at the evidence and have no basis to dispute my conclusion.
I tell them they are not entitled to an any respect for their opinion until they know the evidence, the reality, that their current opinion is equivalent to “I believe the government”. I find it amazing that so many patriots believe the government on these propaganda campaigns, as the propaganda is so clearly aimed at us.
Greens are ideological know-nothings. This program has starved more poor kids around the world into death by disease than any other factor. High food prices were a major result, especially high in years of low production in other countries. MANY international health groups predicted this, MANY reputable scientists said gasahol could not possibly be net-positive in energy, and the gasahol mfgers go bankrupt every time the price of oil rises as proof, but Cargill and ADM got farmers excited, the greens mostly approved, politicians didn’t see donations from the rational, only the manufactuers and farmers, and a few million kids dead. Ugly. Even worse, all of the Green groups have removed their position papers that approved the program, none acknowledge any error.
Watching our political system disintegrate is a joy and sorrow. My poor country, but they so deserve it, and it is just beginning. Our political-oligarchy will continue to eat itself. The next big straw in the wind will be Trump’s donations vs Hillary’s. We will know, Trump will tell us in the exact way that makes her look like even more of a loser.
This is an amazing piece of propaganda : choice of words, citation of ‘evidence’ which no security professional believes. Made plausible by real connections between Putin’s people and those associated with Trump, I am not minimizing that. We should be just as concerned as with all of the high level Israeli citizens in our government, or any other citizens in our government. Divided loyalties do not make for good government, a historical truth.
But, tfa has some balance and insight, may be worth your time. The hack was ABSOLUTELY NOT ‘pinned on Russia’, contrary to its assertions and base assumption.
Both political parties and various government entities here in the US have equivalent Troll Farms. Any comment thread on big web sites has evidence, but you have to watch the patterns. That is widely discussed by people who seem to me rational, to have good judgment, fwiw. I haven’t look at the thinking and evidence for a while.
I was watching the 2nd season of ‘The Wire’ yesterday with my son. He pushed hard to make me watch, said it was too good to miss. He was very right.
The characters are without flaw, the scenes and dialog and story line, very very excellent. This from someone who despises Hollywood and its products, has watched, in the last 5 years, two movies (Woodie Allen’s) and 3 series (also ‘House of Cards’ and ‘True Detectives’, both of which my wife made me watch). Also, from the pov of someone who read many inside-story recountings and novelizations of police and criminals in NY, Baltimore and Philadelphia. Also, “What Police Know” and “What Firemen know”, etc. Those began arriving in the ’80s, there was a steady stream, at least up to the point I stopped reading novels.
‘The Wire’ does for policing what ‘House of Cards’ did for politics, but is subtler, more revealing of the conflicts within individuals between doing what is right and getting ahead. Much better in every way than anything I had seen previously.
Clearly, the cynicism quotient of the American citizenry has it’s own Flynn Effect. Entertainment is ever-more realistic in showing the internals of our institutions. Perhaps our CQ will yet rise to the level of the average 3rd world nation.
Civilization improves, when the oligarchs and governments let it. I so love good people making $ out of dissing the Establishment and institutions.
I had never watched Trump, speeches or press conferences. The man is very good. I cannot conclude anything else except :
And all her partisans have to reply with is propaganda about Russia and Trump’s disloyalty. It will not fly. She makes him look Presidential! Pretty remarkable, power like that.
I don’t like him, he doesn’t even know enough to be dishonest, I think he is completely unqualified for President and authoritarian and so very dangerous in our Imperial Presidency, but Clinton is anti-qualified, very much more dangerous because she likes wars. The Neocons can’t stop goading Russia, there is no reason for that. Except, they hang if peace arrives.
I would vote for Trump if I thought it would make it difference.
Were this a 3-rd world country, the public would assume that this is sections of the power structure maneuvering for the leadership position. Now the Tax guy has his chance to play the two sides off against each other and foster his career and allies. A higher rank in the Mutual Gonad Clutcher’s Union, more people who trust his criminality and will include him in their efforts.
To me, far from these games and proud/glad of it, Clinton is never going to be President. The statistician Nate Silver put the final spike in her coffin yesterday, Michael Mann, Bernie and the genuine Progressives had handed him the maul to do so, and Julian Assange held the Spike in place with “more leaks are coming”, so the party apparatus and donors are reluctant to go all-in in her support. The correlation of forces is strongly against her.
Thus, the Clintons are going to be negotiating an exit package, and Hill will acknowledge her illness, her realization that its progression will prevent her from fulfilling the office, and step aside for someone who has a chance.
Gov prosecutions will end, although not the many private actions, the Clintons will persist on the social scene for a while, will fade into history.
If everyone is rational at least, can’t count on that. But reality wins, and the only way she will be become President is if they steal the election. That is always obvious, but exit polls and statistics and days to weeks later for serious researchers to be confident, done deal, MSM doesn’t amplify the message, just another cancer on the body politic.
But I think all of the guns and ammo going out the door into citizen’s closets and the continued stocking of police stations and armories and militarization of law enforcement are harbingers of a bad future, and President Clinton couldn’t prevent herself from triggering it. That is the best case, WWIII is more than possible, she is an Israeli-Neocon war monger from the beginning.
It has been a fact in every single empire in history, money from the outside pollutes politics and produces corruption. There is no way to prevent that except having your government too powerless for anyone to care about subverting.
To the morons in the Libertarian Party who let themselves be taken over by the Israeli-Neocons, just as did the Tea Party, I can’t express my disdain : FU to infinity and beyond!
What happened to the fact that the Nice truck driver’s relatives said he had transferred $110K to them in cash via trusted couriers in the few weeks before that terrorist attack? And that they had no idea where he had gotten it, he was always broke and out of work, normal for the low-level criminal he apparently was.
I have never seen it mentioned again. The WaPo’s “In Depth” discussion claims he “radicalized very rapidly”. Large amounts of cash and serious mental disturbance possibly had an effect.
I note that my Peak Secrecy prediction of the central gov’s control is more true every day. Our world is now dominated by hackers, tho nobody will soon want to do the study showing how much of ‘news’ is either based on leaks or responses to them.
WikiLeaks and Snowden deserve a Nobel Peace Prize. If you can’t protect it, don’t collect it, and so it is very likely that all of the databases within the entire gov have been copied away.
This is a PR job, painting a man who was part of the Gladio terrorist network and is wanted in Turkey for terrorism, as a benign and enlightened leader. I think it doesn’t mention that he is worth >$20B.
It is worth noting that CarnegieMellon University was hired by the FBI to understand how to follow traffic through TOR. Not a normal CS research project, it seems to me.
Gulan has strong ties to the Clintons, has paid their foundation a lot of $. Clearly, Gulan is the CIA’s guy, and all of those were likely involved in the recent coup attempt, which was defeated by the people of Turkey. Boiling Frog has a lot more on this.
Anonymity and trust, DAOs have been on my mind. I think there is no mechanism that allows genuine anonymity to be given trust from meatspace, but an ‘almost’ version would be to create a group of anonymous IDs and assign them randomly to members of a group. The total group, e.g. a church, could assert its trust to the anonymous IDs without knowing which was which. The entire membership could be much larger than the few volunteers who assumed the IDs.
But otherwise, all of the same flaws as trust mechanisms in the real world, and a few more besides. I have done some searching and reading, don’t yet find anything better. I have two big DAO posts that I split out of one, neither is yet insightful. I want to say that DAOs are the biggest force multiplier ever, but not unless you can trust them.
This is good, the ‘real left’ pov. The failure in the thinking, as usual, is the left’s dependence on gov ‘wealth distribution’ as a solution :
This is an argument about the cost of bad policing in $, when it should be about the cost in gov legitimacy and public regard for police. They have chosen to be feared, not respected, and we are all going to suffer for that. Cops most of all : Dallas was what happens in a guerilla war, and police take most of the casualties in that situation.
Remember the abandoned POWs? John McCain’s infamous radio propaganda for the North Vietnames? 9/11 FF, Sandy Hoaxen have a long history, and none of it is anything political world or MSM can discuss, so no wonder they don’t understand the Trump phenomenon. Trump is indeed not even in the ballpark of capable of being President, but I will vote for him over Clinton. My brother favors Clinton as a means of burning everything down. But none of the parties have tried to deal with any of those realities.
Hillary Clinton skated. In that light, Bill’s meeting with Lynch was a favor to Lynch, it got her out of the responsibility for letting Hillary skate, and pushed it onto Comey. What did they promise him? Who did the promising? We will know via Comey’s future career.
If a 3rd party has any brains at all this year, they can win.
Donald Trump is completely unqualified, is a very authoritarian personality with very authoritarian followers at the core, and has no grasp of civil liberties or the importance of international law, is willing to do the unthinkable, he said so, literally :
versus Hillary Clinton, another war criminal, political criminal, and economic criminal who is a neocon to the core and willing to at least flirt with WWIII, but will definitely push the ME wars to new levels. If Clinton, is elected, for instance, Syria is gone and the problem of Syrian refugees is just beginning.
It is a great loss to both the US and Israel that the EU is breaking up, the proximal cause of which is the ME refugees their wars created.
One problem with elections in a democracy, there is no ‘None of the Above’ vote, so we are forced to choose the least evil of the candidates. In this country’s system, those few candidates are people we had no influence on selecting, so US elections are are choices of a very restricted range of possible policies. Add political parties, and the system is very prone to groupthink, as a result.
When we had representatives of farmers and tradesmen, it worked. Low ration of reps / represented population produced ideas that were grounded in reality, those were much more literal minds and had the ideas that could work, maybe. Still the US had an epidemic of canal building that was a waste of public money.
But, maybe that was after the country was large enough that the balance of power had shifted to city slickers, or simple country reps were easily bought. In either case, an example of how public money can’t be well-spent, no skin in the game. Many business projects fail, more than 50% of corporate IT projects, I believe, measured by attainment of goals or cost. Few achieve the levels of failure shown by an average government IT project, much less the truly impressive levels of the Obamacare web site and application.
I have to read about proposals for better governing systems. One approach would be, just thought of it as an extension of how I have thought businesses should run their hierarchies, pick the top N vote-getters and make them the joint office holder. Murder rate would go up, but requiring the concensus vote of 3 to 10 ‘partial office holders’ would make politics a different thing. Would also attract a different kind of person to politics, including the intentionally obstructive, and thus would have a different kind of problem. As voting, etc. is up to the States, maybe this could be done without need to amend the Constitution. That would allow keeping the House and Senate as they are, but change the character of the members, one approach to scaling representation to that of the original Constitution. When the country was formed, a Congressman represented 30,000 citizens. It is now 703,000 citizens, 25 times as many. The bureaucracy has outgrown Congress’s control, and Deep Government and the Oligarchy are the result.
As an alternative, in an internet world, you could designate a representative (called a proxy in the business world), empowering that person to represent you on some issue, or for some vote, or decide to do it yourself. There should be some clever scheme to do that in a way that they can’t know whether they got the real power of proxy or a fake one, that is only revealed in the final vote, thus true anonymity all the way. That is, I can tell rep X that he has my support, is my proxy, but he can’t know whether I meant it or not, except statistically. Yes, over time, he will learn, but never on any particular issue, unless I was the only one who gave him my proxy.
If you want to keep government impotent, as I do, or at least less easily ultimately powerful, either of these approaches to representation makes the entire process much more one of concensus, as I could choose to empower the obstructor on any issue. In fact, we could have an Obstruction Party that puts a candidate into every race just for that reason.
That is the problem of anonymous trust in a different package. And, I think gov in current forms is long obsolete because dysfunctional and modern comm makes change inevitable.
As a fellow propagandist, I have to greatly admire the people who invented the meme ‘conspiracy theorist’. Now they are hidingsomething Orlando and more info about the Boston Marathon Hoax and killing the patsy. At this point, I don’t think we have much of a clue about what went on in Orlando. But the frame of the story, beyond the spreading of generalized fear, is fear of the ‘self-radicalized loner’. There are the usual mix of stories from ‘victims’, multiple shooters, etc. The call to 911 spouting ISIS fealty was an interesting thing, in the light of the ‘hating gays’ comments of his father, maybe planned, maybe just happened, but it focused more intention on the 911 tapes.
Whatever, gun control proceeds toward the required civil insurrection, is the only rational rational interpretation. Rational irrational interpretations are they are ideologists, and ideologists have a hard time knowing where their interests really are. Do not interpret this as me thinking all of our patriots and militias are wrapped as tightly as they should be.
Well, I have to change my mind about things at the Pentagon, and the problem is, as usual, who I can rely upon. Barbara Honneger, I believe, it was, is wrong. More research is required, as usual. The price of understanding is constant study.
This is Google and Facebookpolluting their futures by using their dominance in information exchanges to restrict it. Ours too. Fortunately, it only means that those videos go somewhere else, and we follow, so Google and Facebook lose.
As an example of unsustainable structures, this is hard to beat.
I haven’t finished thinking this through, again, but so far I am coming to the same understanding as before, it isn’t feasible technically, but for an odd reason, but this time I have gotten a lot further in thinking about the security issue and human nature. The problem in thinking about the security issue is, the structure and functioning of the institution and the activities they have to secure from outsider’s view. They induce problems, we won’t.
LinkedIn worked how? Maybe
I have been banging my head on the problem of trust with anonymity.
However, I think I finally see something. Zero knowledge proofs or some equivalent are what I need to extend meat-space trust into anonymous space. If we are to avoid spending our wealth supporting criminals, we need trust in anonymous transactions. If we can’t extend the trust churches and other associations, clubs, … develop for individuals into anonymous transactions, then DAOs benefit criminals more than individuals.
A 99.9% Silk Road trust rating may be because the seller is a fine human being who we would love to have as a neighbor, and also because some gang has a bunch of slaves growing your weed, packaging and shipping it. To know which requires an assessment from a real-world chain of trust that you can trust. Same problem as reality, same solution as “letter of introduction”, scaled. What LinkedIn is supposed to provide, doesn’t because they don’t have a way of evaluating the opinions of anonymous evaluators. Without anonymity and that evaluation of evaluators, not useless, but most useful if you know an evaluator, and can trust their opinion.
May be an answer, and I may be smart enough to find it after a while, but this will take a few weeks, best case.
Interesting world where your life history will be available for all to peruse forever. That alone will force changes.
All this is further indication that the end of Windows will be exactly the same end-of-era event as the fall of civilization, and co-evolved together. In a world of windows and TCP/IP, we could not have any level of secrecy reliably. If we can’t trust people provisionally reliably, it is hard to make the world work without a lot of enforcement. So more concentrated power with more concentrated wealth and ever-more relatively impoverished populace, you got to scale up the police power. Who have to be paid better than the people they are keeping down, of course. Thus evolve police states in the random walks of evolving economies and societies.
I am beginning to appreciate the Generalissimo’s recent note “Random walk is a lot more deterministic than it sounds, given time”.
I keep prodding the Generalissimo for enough details on their security architectures that correct this situation, on the webs of trust. I sometimes get the feeling the guy plays games. He is getting a lot more of my time than Scherrhy. Jealousy? I need another problem like a hole in the head.
(This will become known as the first identified bit of spam by one personna of a web site’s writer in sections controlled another in the history of multiple personality orders being used by writers on the web. Quite a historic case, and great story.)
Tarpley has done what I think is serious research into modern false flag operations, psychological goals, methods, etc.
Tarpley has been extremely negative about Trump from the beginning, and has concluded that Trump has Deep State support.
I didn’t see clear evidence for that, only came to the conclusion that I couldn’t rule out Deep State support for Trump, but said that the game of mafias and politics is one of continual negotiations between factions, and that it seemed to me the people who did 9/11 had long planning horizons, as the pieces needed to do 9/11 were 20+ years in the making, the earliest hints went back to the ’60s, Hollywood scripts, etc.
Tarpley goes further and says the continuing terrorist events are deep state backing because they control them all, either false flags or patsies. There is certainly evidence for many false flags and those few with real deaths were patsies dying, at least.
Maybe the deep state controls both. One of the things that came out of the Orlando massacre was that the FBI had checked out ?the guy? by sending an informant to dangle bait, he didn’t bite, they concluded he was harmless.
Which time? He came to the FBI’s attention 3 times I recall reading. Are there more than one level of sophistication of screening? Did some other piece of info, like the man’s mental status, line him up for another team to look at? In our false flags, there is a very suspicious chain of associations of suspects and psychiatrists and CIA.
Even when not intended, I wonder how often their test produces the result? Certainly some proportion of the poor schmucks they arrest for terrorism are the result.
So that is how internal security works : offer to help and help you to be a conspirator, arrest you at any point along the way after you agree and do any act. But not arrest you if you look competent to be a patsy? The government in control of all the evidence, and of every word released to MSM, which controls everyone’s info stream until the news cycle is past, after which it doesn’t matter any more except in the continued loss of everyone’s confidence in the ability of the Status Quo’s ability to deal with the world we experience.
No way that stays clean, the fact that so many of those are mentally deficient probably means something. Like maybe the FBI’s informants are pretty obvious about it, so even a crazy is leery? Or the better sort are reserved for use as patsies or even informants themselves.
Anyway, there are the usual number of assumptions about the collection of the data that prevent thinking about what it might mean, except for the obvious fact that our piece of civilization is increasingly depending on internal surveillance and internal security organizations to support the Status Quo against increasing opposition. As always, the various completely separate and separable causes of the internal dissent and the internal violence are carefully conflated by officialdom and their minions to allow the outrage against this kind of event, however caused, to support measures that will have no effect, e.g. gun control and Muslim control, both just people control, another step away from Freedom.
Again they have achieved control of our political opinions by information dominance in the Status Quo.
The various Status Quos of our modern world have a lot to answer for.
That is a fine contrast with the Gatestone propaganda, most of which are unwanted attention including touching, but far from rape and death. Gatestone is everywhere, no on ever hears about US troops mis-behaving, that isn’t news.
Don’t misunderstand, Arab-derived societies have problems dealing with men and women in a modern world, many of their young men are not properly civilized by our standards. That is fixable, the murders and rapes around Army bases are not.
So Flynn as Trump’s VP, they arrive back at the White House and someone shoots Trump dead. Doesn’t matter who, they plead ‘necessity’, a quick non-impeachment and non-trial in Congress, and they are clean. No more far-fetched than 9/11 False Flag and the coverup of that. In fact, a lot easier, they control most of the information sources.
History recounted is history filtered. I do not know enough to even begin to guess how it is filtered. At least some of it is consistent with other things I think I know. But, I don’t know of a solid analysis of Talmudic dispute causing socialism and rejecting reality. Veterans Today publishes some things that are solid, and some are much less so. I don’t think much of their thoughts on logical positivism, I think the whole line of supposed causation of individual and institutional behavior by changes in philosophy dumb. People are very good at finding rationalizations in every era. People’s honesty changes as the institutions decay and permit that. Behavior changes according to what people can get away with, are forced to get away with, and rationalizations change to match the behavior.
We are following France : different controlling forces, ours is MIC + financier + bureaucracies and deep states, but both are the Status Quos who have failed, hanging on for dear life as long as the state has a cent or sou. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-06-19/how-welfare-state-dies
All of it is just analysis, which I think is about useless unless it is focused on fundamentals like money. Even military capabilities can’t be assessed, the power controlling the military usually has no clue about how its own military will do in the wars it starts, it has to believe the generals it decides to hear. The most significant positive about Trump is that Flynn supports him, there is discussion of Flynn as VP I saw somewhere. Now everyone waits to see if Trump is at all controllable. If so, if Trump shows he has a mode besides ball busting and ego, and the bureaucracy on the rational side of things decides to support him, he wins. But the CIA and FBI have had a lot to do with our presidential selections for many years, it seems to me, this is to the point of factions within our political systems being echoed in the State Department and Military. That is a hell of a long step down from a Civilian-Controlled foreign policy and Defense Department. And when our military is more rational and trustworthy than the political side, a country has deep problems. Especially when we can’t really be sure the military is fundamentally more rational about much of anything, the arguments are mostly hidden under secrecy stamps.
What %age of the officer corps would a civilian government that wanted coherent thinking in a purely-defensive configuration have to cull before it came to a level that had a clue about how to do that?
50 ‘diplomats’ protest our not creating more terrorists and spinning more of the ME into chaos. The Saudis + Israelis + US + all the MICs of the world + their investors + the many deep states who are involved and profit from the chaos and terror and war.
Many, many of our various establishments will hang if they fail to keep the wars going.
And meanwhile, MSM illustrates the golden rule of everything, never say “It’s Dead”. You can walk around the corpse, pointing “Isn’t breathing”, “Real pale”, “Something smells”, but never be the one to rock the boat. Especially not in the ends of eras, a time when failures of control systems become manifest.
Happens here also : cop has a mattress in his vehicle and screwed an underage girl in the police parking lot every week. I bet there is a security camera on that parking lot.
Compare soccer houligans with Gatestone’s propaganda about a lesser variety of human crimes. Soccer houligans are normal, nobody thinks it is the end of civilization, or the Russians are taking over, or the English are uncivilized animals. But, large concentrations of young Muslim men produce the same sex crimes as large concentrations of young men in every country and every time of history, e.g. American soldiers on every large base since WWII. Rapes are a major problem in Taiwan, Japan and Korea, for example. Normal, not Muslim, so no need for propaganda.
I told you : Guarantee that NSA has the keys, and this is a backdoor into every Intel system in the world. One strongly suspects AMD is the same, unless their superiority in the Supercomputer industry for those few years somehow exempted them. And so, you need a certified-clean motherboard based, probably, on one of the ARM System On Chip implementations and an open design, secure OS, the best of which is OpenBSD, and a new security architecture which would separate elements in the servers via custom-encrypted communications links that were the access control. Our standards are not secure, cannot be secure, and this latest revelation is just something else that will prove to be a deep security flaw introduced by centralized power. Microsoft is the largest of those at the moment, and responsible for the great majority of the hackins reported so far.
Simple fool that I am, I fail to understand why we need a national currency at all. All I can see a national currency does for you is give you a chance to fubar your economy, society, social institutions, and people, to an extent such that you never can transit into a mindset that can allow you to recover. Examples all through the world abound, it is non-examples that are scarce. South America cannot be rescued by any normal model, their societies are so deeply into negative-sum games that their militarys have trouble controlling their slums. Their elites have controlled the economy to stop any competition, and so the societies are poor and getting poor. The elites blame it on uncontrolled population growth, but population growth is best slowed by economic growth. Police and military power are keeping the lid on, for a while.
That is far gone, and the best thing you can say about the US is that we aren’t clearly doing that, yet. So the French have smashed their economy and likewise set their society up for an internal war, Algeria brought home. Ditto possibly a few other European countries, but, otoh, I see absolutely lovely women in Parisian fashion speaking what I remember as flawless French who are, by ancestry, blackest African all the way through every shade of brown and yellow. France is a pretty multi-cultural place, if you accept French culture whole-heartedly. But I bet even French cooking has been improved by those cultures, and I bet even the French comment on that. Holland was the same way, very integrated when we were there. And for all of those, including England, ‘at least in the bigger cities’. But England is like the US. Even the smaller towns have a Chinese restaurant and Indian motel from recent times, and possibly still a German or other ethnic restaurant as a result of another military bride.
China has probably shot its wad for 2 generations, it will take that long to fail and begin recovery on a smaller population base. Further, I have seen it questioned whether it is so large as claimed even now.
How about this as a historical analysis paradigm : let us assess every political entity possible in 5- or 10-year periods. Calculate the Total Government Burden, the cost in currency of the laws and taxes, as a percentage of the economy. The London Economist used to do this for the Asian Tigers at different points in their trajectories, back when the Economist was still Libertarian. Or, just how many hours does it take to set up a business? Register a car? Import a container of computer cables?
As with the many studies of drones, drug laws, long prison sentences, measures of educational achievement related to pedagogical technology, it is well known what these relationships are, and how you stop the decline of an economy. There is absolutely no mystery about any of it, contrary to nearly everything you will read and hear for the next year. All the gd gov / elites have to do is get to hell out of the way and stop blocking progress. Clean and simple laws would help. Honest cops and judges and prosecutors would help. But if you can’t manage that, just get out of the way. Mafias aren’t efficient because of the frequent jurisdictional disputes and their tax rates, but markets grew in the face of those throughout history, people’s lives improved.
Government is a scam, tho I think few of them want to be or can think of themselves that way. The promise is, we give them taxes and get increased safety and security. But we don’t, we get wars and very high cost services that don’t work very well. Education, medicine, military,… People inside those systems claim themselves as the source of all progress and make excuses for their rarely-measured performance, but the economy has been headed down since 2008, whatever the statistics claimed. Some big cities did well sometimes, a few on the coasts have done well consistently. But nowhere can government take any of the credit for progress, whereas it is the clear reason for the unfolding disasters.
But, as for the national currency : why do we need one? If the Fed was ended tomorrow and all of its stocks and bonds divvied up between citizens in some equitable method tbd, the dollars in our bank accounts, etc. would still exist. You could still buy gold, or dollars with gold, or with any other currency.
But no new dollars would be created except by fractional reserve banking. Without government regulation of banks, fractional reserve banking would disappear, because nobody would put their money into a bank that could fail : Who believes they can predict a bank run? Gov supposedly protects us via FDIC, but the next bank failures will have overwhelmed the FDIC in the first day. Loaning money is a very different business than that of holding money for customers and charging enough to guarantee its safety. There is no reason to combine those functions in one institution, especially when it leads to system-level instability. Bad enough money-lenders fund a nation’s wars, allowing them to doit with depositors money is what allowed world wars. Next time, let’s not allow scaling of these institutions to be so easy and low-cost, well, low-cost for them.
As politics get ugly and everyone is blaming everyone for the failures, try to remember that none of this is that mysterious, economies arise whether governments like it or not. Mostly, elites don’t like it, and so poor people have bad lives so that elites don’t need to worry about social, economic or political competition outside of their own spheres. And worse lives because the elites have the power and money to act on their hair-brained schemes.
To me, the entire military has been re-orienting itself to homeland operations and the entire set of police to military-class operations, and the entire national intelligence apparatus has focused itself on US citizens.
Whether you believe that it was random walk in the bureaucracy or anything else, the trends are very real. Ammunition is available again, because all the ammo guys scaled up. Prices are still high.
Probably means something. Every new massacre, Sandy Hoaxen faux or real, more MSM is for seizing all guns, now it includes FOX News, if you can believe it. Those are the neocons talking. The guys who hang if peace comes, whose only hope is controlling the aftermath of a revolution here at home, or perhaps getting WWIII going, now that the ME thing has been stymied by Russia and Europe is starting to go its own way.
Thinking about this presidential race, it seems there is no amount of lipstick that could make Clinton president. Interesting campaign, 2 candidates whose only hope is events making the other candidate look relatively worse at the lastest last minute. Every time I again conclude that Trump is less danger than Clinton, he says something even stupider that gets him more support. My poor country. There is plenty of blame to go around, but our collective inability to deal with enough reality, to deal honestly and factually, no spin, no BS with events, to discern the difference between that and MSM and to support the rational, is the common flaw.
In historical retrospect, this is the period in world history where we are working through the understandings and building the new open source of news and management of ourselves and our world. Trust in a world of anonymity is the issue.
This is elegantly diabolical, if planned: The Saudis contribute to a candidate. If the candidate speaks wrong, the Saudis depend on their own bad image to sabotage the
Losing as a result of dysergy could not happen to a more deserving pair, donor and candidate, whatever the reality.
I have been saying “you cannot trust financial institutions” for a long time. Look at these changes . Those are not the changes done by institutions you can trust under laws made and enforced by governments you can trust. These are indications of end-game, emergency measures done on the sly in the hopes they don’t cause a political fuss.
Way past time for political fusses, if folks don’t hurry the guns will start first.
And that is obvious to everyone. This country is headed to a shooting revolution much sooner than anyone would like. It doesn’t make waves because nobody wants to acknowledge it and believes it can be avoided, but “just in case”. For, what, 30 years? The Fed gov has been gearing up, arming and training its minions for a long time. How many agencies was it which had selected a full-auto assault weapon for their various SWAT and security groups, and received training in South Carolina for them? How many rounds of ammo? How many 1000s of those ugly urban tanks were distributed to police departments?
None of this makes sense viewed in any other way but some people behind the scenes enabling a zeitgeist they implanted in the country’s thinking.
This insanity of government as a solution is a disease endemic in elites. Various aspects have been studied to death, it can’t be a surprise to anyone with any sense of history what is going on. Every element of the society has people who know full well what their part of the society is playing in generating this outcome, and what they can do to enable it and what they could do to oppose it. Predominantely, and increasingly as the economy tightens, their personal, financial and professional interests say “assist”. The Zeitgeist exists because it is the consensus, the N-dimensional net vector of financial flows and promises of power.
Of course, it could just be the grinding of the equations guiding the step-by-step changes people, laws, institutions, economics, … make on each other, tiny change piling on tiny change and after a while, everything is very different. I strongly believe in that naturalist explanation for everything in the world, I am a scientist at heart.
And also, I strongly believe in human capability for guiding the evolution of the systems that we live within. All of politics is an attempt to do that, some groups have been judged successful for a while. All of education is an attempt to do that. This blog is an attempt.
And, of course, our understanding of past efforts in putting us where we are today, and our estimate of where we are today, is evolving at a rapid rate as we learn more about what actually makes our world work, all of the CIA’s propaganda, and that of every other government entity in the world, along with every corporation, NGO, civics group, think tank, lobbying group, …
That net vector seems to me strongly in the direction of our future one of the deep state, the various military, police forces and their allies among the arms manufacturers and politicians, going down shooting.
Just about the worst outcome for everyone, and I don’t see a way to avoid it. And the reason we can’t avoid it is, they arranged the Zeitgeist to make it possible, and that same Zeitgeist makes it inevitable. Militarism can’t back down until loss is inevitable. Japan, Hitler, next Israel and the US.
Or the equations made it work out like that. I can’t tell which. Makes it hard to know what to do, so I pretend I can make a difference. Keeps me going.
This is evidence of something, but what? They had 8000 workers and couldn’t create fire breaks to protect a work camp? Wonder who insured that camp? Is the insured property loss a good excuse to shut down a money-losing operation?
I claim this is what I predicted. NYTimes did the hit-piece, Fox immediately had an interview showing the reverse, the impact of NYT’s article is dissipated. I bet Trump treated some of his women well, because he had to, his self-image needed the best of them thinking the best of him, and that made life easier for him. Thus, his ex-gf need not have been the obvious setup it probably was. But others would have contributed to Trump’s needs for ego satisfaction in lesser ways, need not have thought well of him afterwards. The NYTimes probably interviewed some of each.
Roger Stone and Donald Trump are an awesome team, I think. Makes me want to find out what other political events Stone has been behind. Remember the setup on Bush’s National Guard service record? Same thing. Obvious technique, and every reporter worthy of their salt sees it. Nobody investigates, it is too easy to hide, and they don’t get rewarded for opinions.
I don’t either, except for liking to see the patterns.
If Stone isn’t part of this, then Donald Trump is even more dangerous than I think he is. Add the CIA’s talents, the NSA’s blackmail database and the military’s special forces, Trump will personally own a good section of the world in a few years. Whether or not Mossad helps, tho I think they will. He couldn’t stop until he is top $Billionaire.
Groucho Marx once said that, “The secret of success is honesty and fair dealing. If you can fake those, you’ve got it made.”
This is the reason the CIA and MIC haven’t wanted the 28 pages released. The story of Anwar Al-Awlaki was always fishy, it was always far more likely he was CIA than he was lapsed rational human being. And his son being killed so soon after him by another CIA drone? Enormously improbably bad luck or an unusually talented bad boy son already well trained, the kid was 16 and we justified assassinating him?
The fact that al-Awlaki was very effective as a radical Muslim preacher doesn’t mean he wasn’t CIA, of course. The CIA has been pushing such terrorism along with the Saudis for a long time. The terrorist efforts that al-Awlaki was supposedly honchoing were obvious Mossad failed false flags or hoaxes, faux flags.
Even if al-Awlaki was genuine, it doesn’t mean his handlers were. Every thing we know says that alQaeda was a creation of the US and Israel, we needed terrorists and times were ripe for a Muslim terrorist movement. According to Sibel Edmonds at Boiling Frog Post, it is a continuation of the original NATO Gladio. Also allows the CIA to run all of the Afghanistan’s poppy harvest through Turkey for processing the opium into heroin, then NATO distribution.
It cannot be said too often that our government is a series of fiefdoms with extra-legal flows of cash, the reason for trying for high office. People who were intimately involved in 9/11 have moved through the government and in and out of government ever since, many ascending to higher office == higher bag limits.
Keeping in mind the fact that the CIA ran 9/11 False Flag Operation is important here : If al-Awlaki was the CIA’s it would explain both killings : either al-Awlaki was some part of 9/11 and had significant info the CIA could not let out, and son knew what he knew, or the CIA needed to get them out of the field, and that was the final cover of their trail. They covered up the non-deaths of 25 people at Sandy Hook in mainland US under the full view of major network news cameras, I bet they could cover it up in little villages in mid-Yemen.
I hate wasting the thoughts necessary to second-guess and third-guess myself and everything else. Panama Papers, … there is an endless stream of events whose provenence determines their meaning. If that is done by an intelligence organization, and indications are strong that it was, it is a limited hangout or psyop against another country. It was spun as being particularly bad for Putin, and there were no US officials involved, no big corporate and bankster officials. Perhaps they knew that that particular law firm was the CIA front and therefore to stay away from them?

Meanwhile, I followed a link to a gov intelligence document, described as being really important in the practice of the art of intelligence analysis, especially of scientific or technical topics. So I skimmed that document, and I find it standard bureaucratic BS, describing elementary standards of scholarship. Compare that amazingly important document to the sophistication of David Hackett Fischer‘s “Historian’s Fallacies”, which deals with exactly the same problem of inferring past reality from incomplete sets of documents. It is the same problem as anthropologists have, inferring long-lost reality of life from surviving evidence, some of extreme technical nature and bleeding edge research, so of unknown reliability, the tool is proven slowly with use. As with intelligence cases, areas using historical evidence can only check their reasonings in particular cases by other minds applying other perspectives, often much later using new evidence.
I absolutely guarantee that any undergraduate teacher of an upper-level course would think it insulting to give their students such a guide for undergraduate papers. Those are very elementary standards “use logical argument”, “provide support for claims”. It uses very many words to make simple points.
So one of the reasons our intelligence services don’t get it right is that they are populated with people of low expectations. This would explain how easily the intelligence has been generated and accepted throughout the government to support the needed wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, … CIA provides the analysis justifying its own false flag coverups.
Added later : do they know how low their intellectual standards are? Is the entire government run with such low standards of analysis and evidence? It certainly would explain a lot. And it wouldn’t surprise me, I was always agog at the lousy processes management decisions went through in the business world. The bureaucracy of universities was much worse even when I was there, and it has grown mightily since. Univ overhead on a research grant is now several hundred percent, I believe I read?
Adherence to as raw a reality as my mind can manage is my thing, no sweeteners, so legal prohibitions of people doing what human nature impels or encourages always seemed wrong even at face value, and of course they screw the system up totally. Drug prohibitions are specially stupid, as they hide the base problem. The things this civilization has done to itself by policy are amazing, and there is no way to stop them. That is medical and long-term health and social and economic output piled on top of the legal and justice and prison system.
So people crowded into the single room that is heated sharing needles, in the US of A in 2016. We are not doing a good job of running our share of the civilization.
How many studies since Nixon did this in the 1960s have concluded the laws were wrong? If it wasn’t for the cannabis activists, we would still be nowhere.
How many millions of human lives and 100s of $Bs has Western Civilization wasted so our military could monopolize the heroin trade?
This is not a prediction based on inside information. This is a prediction because PR works in predictable ways because human minds continue to do so through the millennia.
I am actually still optimistic, because I think that commonality of understanding has always been produced by commonality of ignorance, and in our complex world it is a measure of MSM control of political opinion. That is failing, so false flags are failing in their ordinary* efficacy in goading the populace to further anti-Muslim, effectively pro-Israeli, direction.
The Israeli-Neocons are losing this political contest, false flag campaign or no. 9/11 says many people in our Deep State, military, … will hang if peace returns. That is the driving force behind events, on this side of the blackout curtains that are our MSM and state secrecy, we can’t know much.
*I think, but there must be very detailed studies of prior campaigns of state-sponsored terrorism, e.g. French Algeria. I need to read one. Tho the historical non-parallels are so many any analogy is thin and scope for concluding what you would like vast.
Does anybody but me think that Kate Summersby was probably reporting directly to Churchill? That is a standard pattern. Either as a spy or because Churchill suggested that he could get Eisenhower a gf and Ike said ‘yes’. And probably Churchill knew he would because all the officers know that kind of thing about each other. And their honor doesn’t allow them to discuss it with their wives, except their wives all know too via their independent networks. And the Underwood-class dynasty couples grasped it all and ran their marriages intelligently and discretely, and rose quickly in the ranks.
Handsome young ambitious officers with very lovely and compliant ambitious wives would be welcome at many dinner parties to participate in the revels that began after the staid guests had left. That is a standard pattern in civilian revels, I see comments and other evidence everywhere.
Added a bit later. It is one of the standard human behavior patterns likely particular genetics for some neurotransmitters having to do with liking novelty, and you can’t prevent it, you can only aim to limit the effects. How is a good question, but one we don’t allow ourselves to address because we think doing so will exacerbate the problem. Of course, we have no way of assessing the problem unless we acknowledge it as normal enough behavior so that people will own up to it. That is maybe happening because there are so many ways of getting caught in our omni-surveillance society, certainly is not because anyone has realized anything. The usual drift in social evolution space.
Very likely the rate of couples liking orgies or any other such activities is fixed in the same way that serious drug use is fixed, some low percentage of the population with increases and decreases because of fads. Genetics and opportunity and social acceptance have some control, but social acceptance is always available from others having similar genes. Our disapproval of biologically-driven behaviors creates divides across which problems cannot be handled intelligently.
Extrapolating, this happens in all social circles. Checking with friends, the concensus is it does. And thus, it seems to me, another of the hidden sets of influences throughout our status quo, and so biases to the power of the intelligence agencies who see it.
A measure to think about is the %age of blackmail conversations that turn on victimless crimes of drugs and consenting sex vs fraud, theft and war or other killing? That is the increment in power we have given away by abandoning biology as a guide to morality.
Understand I am not proposing a new ideology, rather restating that wisdom is in context, and many of our social understandings are obviously producing rather terrible results in practice, in running our societies. We moderns have fallen into the deep state blackmail trap before. Time we recognize it for what it is and start talking about how to get out.
And the next thing is to get our societies psychosocial development back in some groove that allows human humans, instead of people so willing to kill ‘other’ people, and so willing to violate all the laws against sex with minors as they rule us and try to rule the earth. Does anyone but me find this abnormal? You wouldn’t know it from the news or prosecutor’s offices. That just has to mean something.
I was gloating all AM about the Panama Papers as an example of Peak Secrecy. If you can’t protect it, and nobody can, you shouldn’t collect it, certainly not in electronic form. It takes a person with a camera to access the files if it is paper, so if those were paper files (I saw indications of both paper and database and word processor files, but it wasn’t clear that I could see), that is an FBI, CIA, NSA team with lookouts and escape routes. An operation. You can protect against operations, tho it may cost $.
A hacker sits in his living room and patiently works through learning about a target, versions of software and hardware and IP addresses and … and looking for 0-day bugs. Distributed attack, central defense. Any of the many simultaneous attackers only has to access a system once to win the prize, defense has prevent every one. Guess how that ends?
You can’t protect against attacks on software, you can’t even depend on airgaps.
Our current style of government requires secrecy. Its very legitimacy depends on secrecy, ‘9/11 False Flag’ and all that implies. Pentagon’s lost Trillions, its 9/11 coverup. Sandy Hoaxen. Every cases costs much legitimacy.
This will not be the last revelation of this nature, worse than Snowden (which, you will notice, has had no political effect at all on NSA and CIA fortunes), worse than the OMB, etc. Every one of the major databases in the world has very likely been spirited away by someone. Certainly NSA, that is their business. Probably the business of the other major agencies in the world, to the extent that they can recruit hackers.
CC numbers and data must be a glut on the market, costs are down from what I have read lately. And next AM I find this, showing the market for illegal information continues to grow and grow sophisticated. Prices are down for lesser levels of info. I see that it is now rare for my CC to be actually spent, tho many times when I use it, an authorized charge attempt from a foreign country often ensues.
Interesting that it always takes 20 years for major social tech turns. What about for combined technology and large-scale structure of humanity?
Associated : NPR tonight had the story of a couple of churches discussing the story of the new state law that allow carrying guns in church. They specifically mentioned the SCaroline killings, whatever they were. So an interesting un-intended effect, all of the gun-control propaganda producing the opposite.
Meanwhile, we all wait to see the ‘why’ of that leak, given that it was associated with a Soros entity. I have not looked, so this is entirely conjecture, but how can Soros not be CIA-associated? They certainly share interests, and so many point out Soros as the relative bad guy, ‘Funding the Left’.
I don’t think our Deep State believes that labels have significance. They measure everything by power and $, ideological matters are tools.
